Bryan Reese Yeah, had some pretty cool stuff planned. I was really excited about Onyx but plans change sadly.około godziny temu
James Donnithorne-Tait I'm actually curious about the legality here. The standard NDAs AEG use have a 2 year sunset clause (clause 2c), so in another year the promise of secrecy expires for everyone who was working on L5R up to the end. And there's absolutely nothing in the NDA that I can see that assigns any rights to AEG's successors should any property covered under the NDA be assigned elsewhere. So I'm not a lawyer, but as far as I can tell FFG have zero right to the silence of anyone involved in L5R who was not an actual employee of AEG. And anything that has entered the public domain already (which now includes TBS) is explicitly excluded from the NDA, so anyone who signed an NDA that covers TBS is no longer bound by it (clause 1b). This basically means that, if FFG is actually keen for unreleased material to be kept out of the public domain, then no legal steps have been taken to prevent non-AEG employees from releasing that information any time from 2 years after the information was given to them or from circulating information that has already made it into the public domain. The downside of a business model that relies heavily on volunteers?
