---

BigDeck legality, so all official physically printed cards legal except those from banlist. Some cards ignore MRP rule (like Rings or Border Keep / Bamboo Harvesters - check rules for expalanation).

Official DEFAULT Sun and Moon database.

Use Tournament Mode and name your games "BigDeck" (in "Tournament Name" field).

One deck for whole tournament. No changes allowed. Notice that in Tournament Mode every deck has its own checksum number visible to TO (Tournament Organizer).

There will be around 7 days for every round to schedule and play game or match.

Swiss phase is played by single game. Play-in, Tops and Final will be in best-of-three. If less than 8 players there will be round-robin phase only. Last official AEG Floor Rules will be used for number of rounds and cuts.

Person that disconnects needs to try to reconnect as fast as it's possible (maximum 2 minutes) or automatically loses that game. Player that is still online should wait at least 2 minutes for reconnection or contact via Discord. If it won't happen, on agreed upon by both players, they may start this game again.

Winner reports result of the game by private message to TO (me).

No results equals double loss (0 points for every player).

All players should check the 'Hide Hand From Spectators' option during tournament games.

All players must check the 'Verbose Chat Log' option in the player options.

Some technical tips and reminders:

Here's folder i will fill with some helpful stuff like BigDeck rulebook etc.

you may also download cards images from Google Drive, link is in welcome-channel

SnM uses Ivory era framework so you must remember about classic phases like Events phase or Discard phase or Cavalry Maneuvers. So turn on "Don't Unbow Card on New turn" and don't use "Unbow and Reveal All" action to reveal all cards at the begining of the turn. Instead follow old Events phase rule - cards are going to be revealed (and resolved in case of Events) one by one, starting from left.

As default Sun and Moon displays most recent printing of every card. To display specific old  printing you have to:

a) manually edit deck list in any text editor and add acronym of expansion that cards come from in brackets like this:
Border Keep - exp (FL)
Bamboo Harvesters (FL)
Ring of Air (Jade)

or

b)  type a expansion acronym in deckbuilder (Any Set field), search for a card and it will be displayed as card_name (expansion_acronym). Then click it to add it to the deck.

I am aware that SnM database is missing some cards. If you noticed a card that is absent but you want to put it into your deck, please use any other similiar card and inform your opponent about any "proxy" card before game starts. "Proxy" list is also fixed through whole tournament and Tournament Organiser should get such list before first game.

List of banned cards:

Stronghold:
Gates of the Second City
Kakita Dueling Academy
Kyuden Hitomi
Kyuden Otomo (exp)
Nanashi Mura
Palace of the Emerald Champion
Razor’s Edge Dojo
The Governor’s Estate
The High House of Light
The Ruins of Isawa Castle
The Shrine of Lady Sun

The specific personality will be selected by the Onyx Lives! Project team, based on the choice of faction and the winner's Wind choice.

If the winner happens to be Mantis Clan, they will instead choose a faction leader of their clan and another clan to whom that leader will reach out for an alliance or assistance.

if MRP version of Stronghold has different starting honor than Lotus printing you must include in your deck any "dummy" Sensei that will fix it. As example Lotus printing of The Hall of Ancestors has 6 FH, while in database it's 7 FH of Samurai one. So you must add eg Tomorrow Sensei as dummy Sensei to modify starting honor.

Gathering Storms / [GS] Gathering Storms - rozkład jazdy.
« dnia: 2024-03-18, 22:00 »
https://jlsumerlin.wixsite.com/onyx-lives--project/post/gathering-storms-previews-week-schedule

Here is the current Previews Week Schedule:

Monday  3/25 - Stronghold, Events, and Holdings
Tuesday 3/26 - Mantis Personalities and Sensei
Wednesday 3/27 - Other Clan Personalities
Thursday 3/28 - Followers and Items
Friday 3/29 - Strategies
Saturday, 3/30 - Full Release

For those unfamiliar, these are the rules for "Raid Attacks", being introduced in this set.

A card effect may create a Raid Attack. This is an additional Attack Phase where only one battlefield is created, not at any Province. Its battle is a Raid battle, whose resolution does not destroy defending armies and cannot destroy Provinces. Card effects cannot move units from this battlefield to any other battlefield during a Raid battle. Card effects that specify Raid battles or have effects that specifically reference Raid battles (i.e. "If you won a Raid battle this turn, produce 1 Gold") are referencing this specific type of battle only. Winning a Raid battle has no inherent benefit, only those stipulated by card effects.

All other normal rules for an Attack Phase (assignment, resolution) occur as normal. Additional stipulations (ie "Create a Raid Attack whose resolution does not bow your Naval Personalities", etc.) that may alter the Raid Attack or Raid battle can be applied by card effects.

Some abilities will only be usable during Raid battles. These abilities will have the ability keyword "Raid" (ie Raid Battle, Raid Engage).

The Onyx Rules Datasheet available in our Google Drive has been updated to include these rules.

---

Co ważne, nowy rulebookowy Raid nie zapewnia nieśmiertelności atakującemu. Tylko jednostki broniącego nie mogę zginąć w rezolucji.

Hi All,
Some of you may remember when I commissioned Drew Baker to create this one of a kind, only rendition of Daigatsu in physical form (it was finished digitally).
The time has come to pass it on to it's next home. I've started a business, and am now self employed and could use some cash to help push things to the next level.
It's bitter sweet, but I loved this piece and now it can help with other aspects of my life.
Here are some images of the piece, which I've framed (you can always change that).
It measures 24 x 18" so it's a great big healthy size.
Shipping is only available to those in the U.S. as it's quite expensive and delicate.
Price is $3,000, same price I paid, the frame cost ($300) and the shipping ($100+) are at my expense.

Dang. It was exciting to get to revisit this piece for Jason, to bring my new skills to bear on a piece of art that was so important.
(There are actually surprising difficulties to revisiting a piece that was originally done digitally. Things like finding the right paints to give you the colors and transitions that were easy the first time around, but just out of reach of the pigments I typically use. And wanting to make small adjustments to the composition to work a little better at that larger scale, without straying from the spirit and recognizability of the original piece. It's not easy, and Jason was a pleasure to work with through the process. Thanks again, Jason!)

Quick rundown of the L5R Gen Con Schedule for those attending (we'll have a more official post soon; subject to change):
Wed: Big Deck 4pm at Kilroys
Thu: Onyx 12pm
Fri: Modern 10am
Sat: Multiplayer (Siege, War of Honor): 6pm
Sun: Legacy 10am

Oczywiście nie obędzie bez wagonu obornika bo przez różnej maści kretynów w turnieju Onyx nie będzie można grać na proxach z grafikami AI. Będzie więc ekscytujące show przesuwania pustych kartoników. Błazenada.

Rules / Errata dla Isawa Tadaka 2CW
« dnia: 2024-01-11, 09:39 »
https://oracleofthevoid.com/#game=l5r,#cardid=12646
