Mario WibisonoIt's the last official L5R art for now. The new L5R is still currently under development, so there will be chances for more art in the future
James Angelo Basically, AEG decided that Spider going full clan and losing their shadowlands jank over the course of Emperor and Ivory edition was a mistake that was hurting the game, so the plot was basically an excuse to allow the Spider to turn into the mix of Hordes and Spider clan that everyone kindoff wanted to see but never got to experience. To justify Kanpeki turning to Jigoku and to fulfill the blood Prophecy they wrote years earlier in celestial when he was born they decided to have the new Iweko Emperor break the peace between Jigoku and Rokugan literally out the gate and force Kanpeki's hand, leading to him becoming super tainted and through opening the magical the seals of mcguffin Jigoku merge Rokugan and Jigoku and drive away the heavens. the first year of Onyx edition was literally planned to be Kanpeki crushing the last major armies of rokugan and become the new Hantei emperor, except sanctioned and blessed by Jigoku instead of Tengoku. Spider, especially in the first year of Onix edition, was being given MASSIVE power decks to convince the older players that Hordes was back and to ensure Spider didn't trip over its own feet in kotei season again, which was a habit for many arcs by this point...Now with all this the other clans were given choices as to how they would react to all this upset, usually having a "serve Kanpeki, Oppose Kanpeki, other gimmick, or a make your own option". This would effect the plot as after Onix year one there would be a time jump towards the end of Kanpeki's rule and explore the story of the clans fighting to survive and thrive under the Obsidian empire ruled over for an entire generation by the Spider clan. Those that serve Kanpeki were promised power, both in story AND in game, and Scorpion sort of took it, sort of didn't, everyone else opposed mostly. As for Mantis game wise were apparently a design problem for 2+ arcs, because a clan who's mechanics are naval and gold acceleration was pretty crazy in the game. To give it a break the plan was to annihilate the mantis as a formal faction to ease balance and reintroduce Naga into the story as the clan that filled that role, with a more janky theme that didnt fuck with the game balance as much. Then the outcry was massive and brand lead changed and Mantis were promised that they would be back for Onyx part 2, thus in a sense erasing the entire point of Naga being reintroduced and making the game have 10 major factions...Besides that, the other clans were pretty solid theme wise like they were since samurai. Onix would shake that up and the clash of Bushido vs Shourido was going to be explored in the Onyx plot, which was going to last 2-3 arcs in of itself. Story was going to get crazy and the hype was very real for a while... then the game was sold and it all became dust in the wind, with Spider winning the setting to the rage of the haters while everyone waits for the LCG in hopes it wont be complete shit. We know that they bought the game and that staff have mentioned in interviews that they want L5R to keep its story elements of player interaction, however that works out. Theres the sorta short and simple really...

Zawsze mogą pójść w kierunku Star Warsa i pakietów kart.
