Here's > final tournament < archive with full image pack of cards legal in tournament + database. Data come from Onyx Lives! project MediaFire folder (28.11.2023) and are binding during whole tourney regardless of any changes that will happen since now.

I suggest to check twice if you have most recent database and images. You can just easily download this archive and overwrite all files to be sure. This package contains new Levied Refugees, proper Daidoji Harriers and (un)corrected Crane Stronghold.

Pick zwycięzcy:

"Congrats to the winner of our December Onyx Edition online event, Mark Noel Soller, playing Scorpion. He picked Bayushi Mifuyu to defiantly swear allegiance to no one, showing her disdain for those threatening the stability of the Empire in their lust for power."

Raport ziomka z drugiego miejsca:

Cytuj
Tournament report: game 1 vs crab berserkers
He saw Imperial Gift t2 which let him buy a body t3 and a weapon t4 to take a province t4 with Sneak Attack + a melee. He then reliably took a province a turn and I could not keep up with his tempo. I did not get any Rings out, but I also was unable to win via enlightenment because of his deck construction. I ended the game close to 30 honor as an alternative win condition.

Round 2: vs Lion tacticians/Duelist
(I didn't write this up right away because I was focusing on teaching my opponent what went wrong)
He had taken someone else's deck, changed half of it, then complained about losing. His gold was so awkward and clunky, and actions unreliable that I was able to choose comfortablely how I wanted to win, and when.

R3 vs Dragon monks
I didn't write this game down, no excuse. I remember, however, being on the back foot the entire game, but winning a clutch battle that took me to 38 honor. With 5 cards left in my deck and no way to reliably duel him and win, I opted for an honor victory

round 4 vs Crane Yojimbo Honor
I saw a smooth gold scheme early on, and clutch banked Tsukimi using Kharmic first turn. turn 5 I attacked, got Fire but gave him 7 honor. I also got Air that turn, then the next turn got Void Water and Earth for a burst Enlightenment. Natures Embrace+Yamigatai+Tsukimi is *stupid*

match report, r5 vs Tainted Lion Berzerkers
round 1 was the weirdest flop i've ever seen with this deck- two events, Mystic Dojo and an Ivory Courtroom. I made an execuative decision to mulligan the Courtroom, because I already had Commanding favor. IT ended up coming back turn 2.
He took a province quickly, despite being gold screwed. Sneak attack and an Ivory Khanda let him run roughshod over my single person. Turn 4 I got 2 rings out (void, Air), and started my defense. I was able to save a province turn 5, but I had to discard Earth to do it. Turn 6, I needed to top deck Water and The Last strike in order to cheese my way to victory- I whiffed. I did, however, draw Encircled Terrain. I swung, took a province with Yamigatai to put Earth into play. I successfully baited him into attacking only one province on his t6, and not both, by playing Walking with the Earth, and successfully won the battle by spending Fire and Encircled. The next turn I drew what I needed, swung to crack 2 provinces to get Water, then on his t7 I untapped my duelist and successfully dueled to put Fire into play and Enlighten, at the absolute last minute.
that was the closest match I've played this whole event and I genuinely thought i'd lost when I whiffed with my power draw
bottom of turn 7 I had 9 cards left in my deck

Semifinals vs Spider Control
Game one: this was extraordinarily close. I struggled to get Water out, but the other 4 Rings came out smoothly. A couple of key defenses meant that I was at 37 on my last turn, so i opted for the Honor victory and successfully spent Water to move a bowed person into battle so that I could play Encircled Terrain and secure my defense
Game 2:this game was less close, but I still got put 3 Rings before his control took over and plowed the way through my defenses
Game three: we both got gold screwed, but he recovered quicker than I did and saw *all* of his control cards very early. Playing it out he would have won, but he conceded at assigning Attackers because he was not invested in winning and thought I was the better match against the other Finalist. (As it turned out, we were about equal in chances)

Finals against Scorp Dishonor:
There is not much to report. The final score is 2-1. I had excactly one chance to get Fire, and I did not have a lot of time to pull it off. We theorized that it was simply a bad matchup- I had about a 15-20% chance of winning against his deck. Burst DH cards were insane, causing me to lose 5-6 Honor each off single cards.

To explain why this was a bad match up, he did not attack or defend- relying purely on Open Actions to drain honor as quickly as possible. Because of this, the only chance I had to get Fire out was to force him to attack with Walking with the Earth, which is doable only if I do not have a Ring, have a duel in hand and a Duelist out. Needing so many cards so early in the game meant that these matches were pretty much foregone conclusions

Raport z miejsca 3/4.

Cytuj
Agasha Hinosai

Round 1 win. Vs crane kagami (jimbo/courtier)

I saw all my honor meta early which bought me a lot of time. I got the early break with a small stack. Lost a few small stacks and failed to break a province in t5&6.
T7 I broke another one with a few unit stacks. He tried to force me to not send one if my units in, I was like no, I'm breaking now.
T9 I broke another province but had some movement tricks to run from the bug fight.
T10 I took a short break to regroup, since he wasn't going to cross untill his next turn. Came into the last province. Killed as many of the jimbos as I could, and bowed out most of his courtiers. He ended at 58 honor or something.
Mvp: death of mantis and new order came out early, buying me 22 honor buffer by the end of the match
Lvp: tadaka became a liability.

Round 2 win vs Spider endo(less followers.... pun in10dead)

Nothing too eventful for the first few turns. He blitz t3 for a quick break. I was able to recover and come back from it. Continued to break provinces, and kept standing from conqueror stacks.

Last battle 3-1 on provinces, I push in with less force initially. He had 2 corpse monsters. I killed as much of the small stuff as possible. Bowed his corpse monsters and took their force with YKP. Flipped the army force ending at 40 something to his 20 something.

Round 3 lose. Spider mishime.

By this time the idea that tadaka can kill sensei was around and I wanted to see what would happen.

I got the early tadaka and killed his sensei. I almost got a dishonor win. Which was kinda funny. But his Chuda Ruri came in clutch, and basically won him the game
Agasha Hinosai — 14.01.2024 22:21
Round 4: win vs lion deathzerkers.

This game was really fast. He got a dude out on t2 and went for the blitz. I had a dude, but no real answers for that big lion guy so I let him break undefended, he bought another cheap guy.

I got my dude stacked up with temor +stuff and broke one of his. And got uzeko.

His t4, he attacked with both. I blocked at another province, and used uzeko's trait to pick my battle first. Moved his dude in and reduced his force to stop him from killing okui. Killed his guy in resolution. He broke the province with his big dude.

My t5, I stacked up uzkeo with tremors and enough stuff to break a province in his own. Swung in for 2 provinces, no defenders, so easy break.

He had no one come up on his last province so he passed attack.

My t6, I attached a few more stuff to each guy, went in and used sneak attack, he had no counter and concedes.

Round 5: win dragon takao

Tadaka came out early, he had some breaking the rythem, so my first attack was stuffed. But I killed takao after some discussion.

I got lucky on my province breaks to take out problem uniques.

This match was very one sided in my favor. I was able to use uzeko on the offense and do some movement tricks to break one of his provonces. I had the cards to counter many of his actions.

Mvp: otomo suikihime, locking down tadaka, they had lots of tea.

Lvp: bad personality start for him and losing the sensei.

Semi finals: lose 0-2 vs scorpion Kayo (turbo dishonor)

Both matches were close.

Game 1 I got all my honor meta (DotMC, IG, TNO) I didn't use TNO (kharmiced it away) lol, and sub par gold, I was able to stay afloat long enough to vying him down to 2 province on t6, he dropped me to -28. I could have sent in for one break only, but it was pointless so I concede.

Game 2
Again sub par gold and hand. Broke turn 4, had 2 personalities out on t5, made them big enough to break both. Battle of second city was in my province row, so I could have taken all 3 that turn. But he double bowed taisho. I negated the first one, but couldn't do anything against the second one. He dropped me to -24. We could have played it out and break 2 provinces. But it was pointless and I concede.

Mvp: getting that far with a sub average start both games.
Lvp: sub par gold and start both games.
