Quick tournament report for anyone who cares from Gen Con legacy tourney

Round 1
I played against a guy that brought his lion deck from clan war era.
He was a little out of touch with what OBH was and admitted he hadn't played in 20 years.
he got a turn 1 inheritance and bought 2 guys and actually took a province after burning most of his hand to
fight through the false ring of air. He took another with an event but it just wasn't enough. 1-0

Round 2
I paired up against Dave playing my list from the first SnM OBH tourney. I could tell it was my list bc the personality choices
and honestly I was flattered. I think its cool someone saw the list and wanted to play it and I am glad my buddy Chan found the
meta card I played incase someone showed up with my deck. long story short we both put a dark ring of fire in play. I bounced his
back to his hand. we did a little more grappling for position and he conceded after I shut off his sensei. 2-0

Round 3
I played against doug playing crab with O-Ushi sensei. I have a good amount of testing against this deck but that doesn't
make it any easier. This deck is the reason for the one of Forgotten Lesson. my outs to this deck is FL or giving them a Kado.
in some circumstances Mirumoto does the trick. On the last turn he had 5 guys vs my 2 provinces. I was able to cross and bow down 3 guy
leaving him Hida and the Kado I gave him. he sends Hida at one and Kado at the other. I assign nobody so he cant
use any opposed movement but I know deep down I am dead AF to duty of the crab. He doesn't have it. 3-0

Round 4
I played against Chris playing Naga per usual. this is always a tough match and I don't feel like I should've won this game.
my deck was moving very slow. I was drawing a lack of duels even though I was all setup to go off with a blade of penance on a duelist.
and Chris seemed to not have the broken alliance or oblivious to destroy it. all I remember is one turn I couldn't do anything except
play accepting the choice and grab a legendary confrontation in hopes that I would draw an open action duel on my end step. I drew
clash of blades and was able to string together a few duels and dodge Only actions speak from Chris. I hit 48 honor and won off strange assembly.
I actually feel like Chris was not aggressive enough. my deck does not defend provinces. he had the force. he kept going one province at a time and honestly it was that conservative approach that gave me the time to get back in the game. 4-0
1st place after swiss.

top 4 was me (dragon) vs Doug (crab) and Chris (naga) vs Dave (dragon)

This time around vs Doug I had all the gas to shut off his sensei and honor out in one turn with Mirumoto winning duel after duel. yawn boring match but on to the finals.

I watched the last battle of the other semi final and from what I saw Dave was well above 50 honor and defended his last province by one or two force.

I win the die roll and proceed to go first. after 2 border keeps I have a 6 gold boxable samurai and Mirumoto in province. I decide to pay 2 gold for Accepting the choice. search up my meta card and bounce my opponent's ring to hand as I did in our first match. with a turn one Mirumoto and my dark ring still on the board Dave could see the writing on the wall and extends his hand.

I had a lot of fun tuning this deck over the year. shoutout to my buddy Chan @Jackson  me and him have been the masterminds behind a few really good OBH decks here lately.
I don't sleeve a card up without his input and vise versa. He found the ring bounce card a few weeks ago bc we were curios how crane could answer the ring. I thought it was good enough to pack incase I ran into the mirror or keigo sensei. On to different Dragon Clan lists I've been cooking up. You are gonna have to sign up for the tourney to find out!!
