On April 29, 2017, at 10am will once again be the unofficial L5R Modern World Championship, sanctioned by it's founder, Donovan Sparks. Chris Medico won this event last year, and took home a custom Tanuki playmat, hand drawn on site by artist Charles Urbach.
Likewise, at 3pm will be the BigDeck Championship, hosted by Antonio Calderon, under the new 80/80 format. Mark Armitage won this event last year with the Ninja Stronghold, taking home an original piece of Tanuki art, hand painted by Drew Baker on site.
