His deck ran no holdings and lots of cavalry, oni, and oni cavalry. He said 'about half his fate deck' was unopposed force boosts, and he threatened provinces from turn two every game. He'd also only picked up a starter deck, IG2, DaK, and a few singles to round out the deck. It's a well-thought out concept and very well executed: kudos for an off the wall deck that did surprisingly well.

This is the deck I brought to Gencon. I ground my way in on Friday by the skin of my teeth and got beat up pretty bad in the big show on Saturday. Still, I had a lot of fun with the deck and I don't think it's necessarily bad. It certainly got owned by goblins. But it's not the only deck to make that claim. Please feel free to look it over and leave comments. I just started playing l5r in July and I could benefit from the thoughts of veteran players.
